Life Cycle Fire Panel Upgrade

Canada Life Building was established shortly after the great depression and serves as home base for Great West Life Assurance company’s insurance businesses and is a tremendous landmark along University Avenue at Queen St. West in Toronto’s core.

A life-cycle system upgrade was required for the aging systems with a goal to install a system that would be user-friendly for the buildings operations as well as scalable to interconnect the other campus buildings and systems.

An engineering firm was hired by GWL to provide scope of work details and Onyx-Fire evaluated and presented options of 4 manufacturers throughout the process. As the base building Inspections, Testing & Maintenance provider, with tremendous knowledge of the facilities and operations, Onyx-Fire was chosen to install the selected fire panel equipment, fire alarm devices and all electrical wiring and components.
