ABOUT THE POSITION
The role of Junior Fire Alarm Technician aims to offer a training ground for technicians striving to obtain their full CFAA certification. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Follow directives from on-site Fire Alarm Service Representative, supervisors, coordinators, and/or support staff as per company protocols.
- Conduct maintenance and inspections on fire alarm, fire extinguisher, exit, and emergency lighting systems where qualified.
- Ensure adherence to the highest standards of system reliability and client satisfaction.
- Promptly complete work orders and submit reports.
- Acquire knowledge of and comply with relevant ULC Standards, Building Codes, Fire Codes, CSA, Ontario Electrical Safety Code, NFPA, and other applicable local codes and standards.
- Provide on-site support to certified fire alarm technicians as needed.
- Fulfill other assigned duties.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma, G.E.D, or equivalent work experience is mandatory.
• Registration in or completion of CFAA Fire Alarm Technician courses (or equivalent recognition) is required.
• Preferably, two years of community college in electronics or enrollment in a community college electronics technician or technology program. • Proficient in computer usage.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Exceptional customer service abilities.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. • Strong organizational aptitude. • Demonstrated ability in neat and accurate report writing.
