Electrical Retrofit Saves Energy & Costs for Hotel Chain

The Westin Harbour Castle hotel was built in 1975 as one of the early developments of Toronto’s harbourfront. It has renovated its interior look and feel many time to keep up with demand and one of the country’s premier conference centre destinations hosting 977 hotel rooms, 31 conference rooms and a Grand Metro Ballroom.

In 2020 the property started a multi-phase revitalization to upgrade rooms and common areas including conference rooms and parking. Onyx-Fire was thrilled to be included in this exciting project and executing work for in-room upgrades to lighting, electric fire places and ‘behind the scenes’ infrastructure to support it, also undertaking the common area upgrades to electrical, lighting, data infrastructure and sprinkler systems.
